8 weeks of pottery joy, exploring a range of handbuilding techniques, and the opportunity to dip your toe into wheel throwing.

What we cover:

• The focus of the class will be handbuilding techniques from pinch potting, to coiling, to slab building. Each week we’ll demonstrate a technique that you can use in your own projects. We will also demonstrate a few suggested projects that you can follow along with if you wish.
• We will also demo wheel throwing on one of the weeks, and you will have some access to the wheels - please note that we only have 5 wheels, if you wish to do more wheel throwing please choose one of our wheel throwing sessions. 
• A range of decorative techniques using slips and underglazes
• Glazing methods.

Class size:

20 students, 2 teachers. All abilities welcome.

What is included:

• All your materials and tools, including studio glazes
• Firing of your pots throughout the term

Term structure:

2.5 hours of building each week, followed by 15 minutes to pack down and clean up (2hrs 45 in total)
